18th celebrations

Right that is that – my little girl is now a woman…

Friday she was less than happy at being woken up before 6:30am but if we were to get all the present opening in before heading to school it had to be.  She had a great day at school coming home laden with a bunch of silly gifts from her friends.  We then simply had pizza at home whilst we waited for her brother to get down from Birmingham.  It was odd having everyone back in the house both the “kids” (I’ll never lose calling them that) and both their other halves, Mrs F and yours truly.

Saturday we did nothing (other than me nearly crying over the rugby result in the semi-final… I mean seconds that was all we need to hold out for seconds… still it is only a game) and then headed off to the party which was a massive success.  All the people who really matter family and friends there to make it a special night.

Sunday family meal with the 6 of us again plus Mother-in-Law and then wave a fond farewell to Son-of-Furtheron and his lovely lady as they now have like, jobs!!  Well if you can call Post Graduate Research placements jobs – well they do have teaching responsibilities on a Monday so even more important they got back on time.

I rarely post pics of the family on here but this is a special occasion isn’t it – so…

Yes still a princess cake – it even had fairy lights on it! You can see the embarrassment board of old photos Mrs F had made up in the background

  6. So cool to see the rest of your family.

As for the princess cake, lol. Just too funny, the juxtaposition of woman and girl.
